CE:'Dance for me, Little One.'

Anyways, this is my entry for 's contest. We had to draw any of our OCs together. I chose my Murua/Mayuree and Primrose's Corina. I somehow missed Corina's age in her profile and since Primrose's chibies of her characters are so cute and misleading, I was under impression that she's younger than her actual 18 years. Thus I ended up drawing her as if she's around 15 years old. My bad! But let's say this scene took place when she was that age.

The reason I chose Murua is because it's a perfect chance to introduce her and her story more fully and I think those two would have an interesting meeting, at least. |D

So, the story behind this:

Murua is a travelling dancer who is easily recognized by her enchanted peacock tail, that looks and moves as if it's another limb of hers, and she usually goes by the her nickname 'Mayuree' though people most often called her just 'Peacock Lady'.
She had just arrived to a large village and was just coming back from the look-around of this village when she saw a young girl stop at the front of her tent. From the way she walked, Murua was able to deduce that the girl danced herself and it peeked her curiosity. Whit a broad grin on her face, she decided to go and 'greet' her.

Corina was out, taking a walk around the village when she overheard two passing-by women talking animatedly about a female dancer, apparently called 'Peacock Lady', that was having a performance soon. Judging by the excited tone of their voice that Peacock Lady shouldn't be half-bad, so she decided to take a look at her.

After roaming around the marketplace, in hopes of catching some word of where the performance would be held, and lucky overhearing, she followed a young lad to the place the dancer seemingly got settled down and where the performance would take place. Finally reaching the tent, she saw no-one with at least something peacock-ish. She was about to take a peek inside the tent, when suddenly someone appeared before her. She didn't even mange to see who it was when they quickly grabbed her hand, twirled her once and a female voice playfully, almost childishly, said to her: "Dance for me, Little One!"

Getting somewhat over her surprise, Corina, blushing, ripped her hand from the stranger's grasp and sent a glare up the tall, tan young woman (who, she thought in the back of her mind, was the dancer she was looking for, the peacock feathers on her headpiece and the tail were a definite give-away) for both - the ridiculous request and the name (She wasn't 'little'!). "What a hell do you think you're doing?!"

This is what came to mind when I thought of these two meeting for the first time. Murua has an eccentric way of greeting people on the first meeting, as she just loves to make a queer first impression on them. x3

About the drawing - I was trying out a colouring technique I used on one of my CG pictures to see if it worked with traditional way. I kind of messed up in some places, like Corina's slightly darker skin tone.
And sorry about the lazy-arse background. I didn't expect to run so late with this, so I had to make a quick job with it. _{At least it's better than if they were floating in some blank bg....}

EDIT: I got a second place! Yush! I also edited a bit the story part. Nothing changed, I just tweaked grammar and sentence structure. Whenever I write a story I have to edit my first draft a couple of times to make it at least presentable. Thus, since I was in such a hurry to submit this in time, story part was less than satisfying (at least for me...). xP
